Customer protection

New measures to protect the public have been introduced by the Gambling Commission, under the Gambling Act 2005.

From September 2007, these new regulations will govern how gambling is run in Britain. These include new ‘social responsibility’ measures, designed to make sure gambling is fair and open and to protect children and vulnerable people from being harmed or exploited by gambling.

All gambling operators in Britain are licensed by the Gambling Commission, and must follow its new regulations.

This section will help you understand more about the rules designed to protect vulnerable people from harm and to make sure gambling is fair, safe and open.
